HAIRVIVINE^®-PRO

HAIRVIVINE^®-PRO is a water-based extract derived from the seeds of the Styrian pumpkin Cucurbita pepo var. styriaca. It contains valuable nutrients in the form of amino acids and carbohydrates that support the physiological functioning of hair follicles.

Maintenance of hair shaft production is a life-long task for hair follicles. A continuous supply of new cells and terminal differentiation of follicular keratinocytes into hair
shaft elements must be ensured. The transition site, the so-called “Ring of Fire”, is the area in which most mitochondrial and autophagy activities responsible for the
organisation of this differentiation process occur. External factors and internal factors such as UV stress or hormonal changes reduce the capacity for terminal differentiation, leading to hair thinning and eventually hair loss. HAIRVIVINE^®-PRO activates autophagy and increases the number of active mitochondria, energising hair follicles and thus preserving hair growth.

Clinical studies have shown that HAIRVIVINE^®-PRO improves the density of hair per cm² and reduces hair loss. Furthermore, it stimulates eyelash and eyebrow growth. HAIRVIVINE^®-PRO leads to an improvement of numerous eye appearance parameters assessed on the basis of subjective perception and visual inspection.

In an ex-vivo study, it has been demonstrated that HAIRVIVINE^®-PRO serves as a hair growth booster in the case of human hair follicles.

In-vitro studies have revealed that HAIRVIVINE^®-PRO induces autophagy while providing cells with nutrients. At the same time, it increases the number of active mitochondria, which is a guarantee for a fully functional terminal differentiation of follicular keratinocytes.
